The plain truth is Jesus does give you joy. Our desire is to let people know how wonderful Jesus can be in your life. Will we go through tribulations? The answer is simply, YES! Jesus said in John 16:33 "In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world". Jesus spoke these words not only to his discilpes but to you and I to remind us He will be with us through all situations in life. The events in our life can seem to be overwhelming at times. But with Jesus, in our lives, we can make it through all tough times and even during the good times in our lives. In Nehemiah 8:10, the Word of God proclaims, The Joy of the Lord is your strength. With the joy of the Lord working in our lives, we can go through many things in life. The world will try to get us to believe we can go through many things alone as long as we have a good attitude but the fact is simple, we need Christ in our hearts.
I am not trying to convince you today that with Jesus that we will never go through pain or heartaches, but with Christ in our lives, we can go through many things that others would not understand how we made it through. Without Christ, a person can not have true peace and joy. Yes, there are many items and things that seem to provide hope for a situation but they only last for a moment and we can not take them with us when our lives are over. In Hebrews 9:27, the Word of God tells us "And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement." We all have an appointment one day before God the Father, He will judge us according to our actions. In order for us to make it in to Heaven we must have the Son of God in our lives. In John 14:6, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Many people, churches, religion, and society will tell us that God will understand if we tried hard and was a good person but I am writing today to remind you that only through Jesus Christ we can have the assurance for life eternal.
Not only can we have joy everlasting in Heaven because we accepted Christ into our lives but we can experience joy here on earth because Christ dwells in our hearts today. If you haven't had the experience of knowing Christ today, I invite you to ask him to become your Lord and Saviour today. The way to salvation is plain. We must be sorry for our sins and ask Christ to forgive us of our sins and accept him as our Lord. The prayer is humbling ourselves to God and accepting His Son into our hearts. Once you do this, your life will have meaning and purpose. You will feel changed inside with the power and annointing of God in your lives. I pray that you allow Christ to be your Saviour today.
